Little smiles and little tears are all that we brought,
Someone to share a cup with is all that we sought.
Winter breezes blowing astray,
But in the cold snow, huddled we stay.
Hidden in the chill of the North,
Grasping onto our last bit of warmth.
Kindness is all that we need,
Budding from the stem of a seed.
Warm cup of cocoa in our hands,
Hair swept out of my face in strands.
Happiness spreads across all our smiles,
Winter love going on for miles.
Fire in our chests,
Trying to manifest.
To destroy what little joy we’ve had.
