I hide from America, the land of the free
Where we all are safe in our homes
The propagandized country of dreams
We’re all “heroes” but we have no other choice
They tell us to stop polluting and start working
But they’re the ones who made us like this
We’re too absent minded, we’re stuck on our phones
They tell us, but at least they could be kids
Our childhood is stolen, replaced by static and bad news
Our future disappears in front of us, and still they berate us
We grow up before we even had a chance to enjoy anything
Opinions are shoved in our heads
We are forced to live in a world of injustice
Where were too young to do anything and too old to be naive
We used to take comfort in each other, but now they take even that from us
There’s safety in numbers, but we are alone
We’re a million worlds apart
Through their actions, they say “Of course only some people deserve rights, some sexualities, genders, and races should be discriminated against”
They never take us seriously
“Back in their day” there were no problems
Does it not occur to them that they started it all?
We cry ourselves to sleep because of them
They laugh at us constantly. Is it a joke that we’re broken?
They act like our mentors but all they do is poison our minds and then blame it on our “laziness”
They hurt us in too many ways to count, and now we have to fix their mistakes
Indivisible with liberty and justice for all

Take your seats
That was incredibly powerful!
